BT announced in 2020 that it intends to switch off all the PSTN and ISDN lines by 2025, No new lines lines can be ordered after 2023 All lines are migrating to SIP/VoIP. Most older phone systems will need to be upgraded or replaced. Upgrade early to gain the advantages and save costs now by upgrading to SIP.

SIP

SIP uses an internet connection for the phone system to connect to the telephony network provider.

It provides the same features as ISDN and you are not restricted to a particular area code unlike Analogue or ISDN lines.

They are also  cheaper and it has additional features and better fraud detection and can also be used as a great disaster recovery solution if you can’t get into the office.

Analogue

This is the same sort of line you might have at home as well as in your office. It can provide basic features such as Caller ID and Caller Redirect service

Digital Lines which start at  2 channels and can be increased at 2 channel steps.

These provide features such as Direct Dial In numbers for each extension as well as Caller ID
